Tiruvannamalai District Collector T. Bhaskara Pandian yesterday conducted fieldwork related to enrolling dropout children in Ayyampalayam Pudur Panchayat in Tiruvannamalai Panchayat Union and informed the students and their parents about the necessity of education and took the students to school and gave them uniforms and books.
On this occasion, he said 5156 students from classes 1 to 12 have been identified as dropouts. All their details are kept in Common Pool on EMIS website. Currently, 1001 students have been re-enrolled in schools.
Excluding them, from 01.10.2024, the work of surveying 4155 school dropouts has been carried out by teachers and teacher trainers. As of today, 2423 students have been surveyed. The work of enrolling other students in the schools is going on.
The remaining 1732 students will be surveyed by the end of this month and efforts are being made to re-enroll them in schools.
