Rs 10,000 penalty for vehicles violating traffic rules

The police enforce traffice rules and the government imposes severe penalties on traffic violators. However as many do not respect it a new traffic rule has now been implemented to prevent this.
Automatic fines have now been implemented at petrol stations for vehicles without valid pollution control certificates. Along with this, vehicles without pollution control certificate will be fined up to Rs.10,000. Although this certificate is essential, many motorists fail to renew it. Now cars without this certificate are blacklisted from registration.
Number plates of vehicles are monitored with  cameras. All cars require petrol or diesel. These vehicles will be identified in petrol stocks. The system will check if there is proof of pollution control. If his certificate has expired, the driver will be notified of the penalty amount via SMS on his mobile number. The certificate should be renewed on the next day or evening of the expiry date. Drivers will be given a few hours to renew their pollution control certificate. A fine of Rs.10,000 will be reported to the driver's mobile number if the certificate is not updated on time. The traffic police sat that this automatic system will ensure compliance with pollution control rules.
With this new practice, environmental pollution is prevented and vehicles run cleaner. No doubt, this heavy fine will ensure that motorists renew their vehicle's pollution control certificate on time.
