Road safety meeting held at Collectorate at Coimbatore

A monthly review meeting regarding road safety was held in Coimbatore district collector's office under the chairmanship of district collector Mr. Kranthi Kumar Padi. In this meeting, Municipal Commissioner Ma.Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Deputy Commissioner (Transportation) Rokitnathan Rajagopal, District Revenue Officer Dr. M Sharmila, Pollachi Sub-Collector Ms. Kathryn Saranya, Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Sivakumar, Distt.Collector's Personal Assistant (General) Vishnuvarthini, RDO Mr. Bandarinathan, Mr. Govindan, Tahsildars, District Transport Officers and other officials were present. In this meeting, the District Collector said: the meeting was held to check road accidents in the district and the improve the traffic, road and road safety systems. Helmet must be worn while driving and seat belt must be worn while driving a four-wheeler. Also, we can protect ourselves from accidents by not using mobile phones while driving and strictly obeying the road rules.
