Nirmala College collaborates with Shobhit University to establish CAIRS

Nirmala College for Women in Coimbatore has partnered with Shobhit University, Meerut, to establish the Centre for Agricultural Informatics and E-Governance Research Studies (CAIRS). This Centre for Excellence focuses on promoting smart agriculture in tribal areas. The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by a delegation from Nirmala College, led by Rev. Sr. Dr. A. Kulandai Therese, Secretary, and Rev. Sr. Dr. GS Mary Fabiola, Principal, with Prof. Moni Madaswamy, Chairman of CAIRS and former Director General of the National Informatics Centre, representing Shobhit University.
The partnership aims to implement smart agricultural practices in the adopted tribal villages of Palamalai, Naickenpalayam Panchayat. Additionally, the initiative will focus on skill-based training, education, health, and collaborative research, enhancing the welfare and development of these communities.
