Nilgiris Collector inspects EVM machines sent to Bengaluru for restoration

Nilgiris Collector M Aruna inspected the control units, ballot units, and VVPATs that were found defective during the model elections and symbol loading unit process. 
These machines are being sent to the BEL company in Bengaluru for repairs. The storage room containing 70 EVMs in the collector's office was opened in the presence of political party representatives. 
The EVMs were sent to Bengaluru under the protection of armed police officers on June 18.
Assistant to the Collector Suresh Kannan, Ooty Tahsildhar Saravanakumar, and other government officials were present during the event.
