Nilgiris Collector flags off Manjappai Brigade bike rally

Nilgiris Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Thanneru inaugurated the Manjappai Brigade bike rally, an awareness campaign organised by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, on August 7 at the district collector's office. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastics.
Government representatives participated in the bike rally, riding electric scooters to promote the use of Manjappai (yellow cloth bags). During the event, the district collector emphasised the importance of taking strict action against shops using single-use plastics.
District Revenue Officer Maharaj, District Environment Engineer Hemanth Josan, Assistant Engineer Janardhanan, and other government officials were also present at the 
rally.
