Anti-NEET protest which started in Tamil Nadu is currently echoing in various places.
Even in the recently held NEET examination, more than 30 people including parents, students and examination officials were arrested for various irregularities in Bihar, Rajasthan and other states. More than 50 people were reportedly arrested across the country.
It was announced that 67 students scored 720 out of 720 marks this year which is unprecedented in any year. At the same time, it has been revealed that out of the 67 toppers in the NEET exam, 8 had written the exam at a single center in Haryana. Against this backdrop a police complaint has also been filed seeking an investigation regarding the matter of 8 students being ranked first in the examination center. A petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court.
The BJP Government has imposed the NEET examination and undermined the federal philosophy. Hence it is also responsible for such irregularities. Therefore, the NEET examination which was conducted with irregularities should be cancelled.
Not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other states, the demand to cancel the final exam is a boon for the poor and poor students as people increasingly have started to feel that it is against social justice.
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has expressed hope that the time to cancel the NEET exam will come soon. The people by and large look forward too.
