The Tamil Nadu Health Department has issued guidelines and protocols on treatment and prevention methods of monkey pox. Arrangements have been made for home visits and treatment of the affected. Actions have also been taken to isolate and treat those who were in contact with the victims and their families. Since this disease is a viral infection, the guidelines also say to start anti-viral treatment for this disease.
No one can have forgotten that Corona took a foothold in one place and then spread across the country and claimed the lives of thousands of people. A similar risk should not occur again.
