Minister inspects BC students hostels at Nilgiris

Backward Class Welfare Minister Mr. Siva. V. Meiyanathan inspected government arts college students hostels run by the backward class department at Gudalur in the Nilgiris district.
Hr inspected the quality of food provided to the students and the availability of food items, basic and toilet facilities for them. Later, he discussed with the male and female students there individually, gave them blankets, and heard their demands. 
He said appropriate action will be taken on the request of the students.
He said that renovation work will soon be carried out at the Backward Students' Hostel in Gudalur at a cost of Rs.14.65 lakhs. 
During this study, RDO Mr. Senthilkumar, Ex-MLA Mr. Dravidamani, Municipality Presidents Mrs. Sivakami (Nellialam), Mrs. Parimala (Gudalur), Panchayat Union President Mrs. Keerthana, District Backward and Minority Welfare Officer Mr. Suresh Kannan, Oveli Municipal Corporation President Mrs. Chitradevi were present.
