Tamil Development Minister M. P. Saminathan inaugurated 7 mobile veterinary clinics at a function held at the collectorate on Thursday in the presence of the Mayor N.Dinesh Kumar.
In his speech, he said that the Chief Minister inaugurated the National Livestock Vaccination Program on behalf of Animal Husbandry Department and launched the service of 200 mobile veterinary vehicles on 20.08.2024 in the first phase with the aim of improving veterinary services to livestock and livestock keepers in rural areas. In the first phase, 7 vehicles have been allocated to Tiruppur district and inaugurated today. Through this scheme, artificial insemination of cows and buffaloes, deworming of goats and calves, treatment of diseased cattle, examination of vaccination of cattle, and treatment of sedated cows etc. will be carried out. The vehicles ply from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm on the mentioned routes. Also, in case of emergency, public can call 1962.
District Revenue Officer Mr. K. Karthikeyan, Deputy Mayor Mr. Ra. Balasubramaniam, Project Director of District Rural Development Agency Mrs. Ko. Malarvizhi, Tiruppur Municipal Corporation 4th Zonal Chairman Mr. Ila. Padmanapan, Zonal Joint Director (Livestock Maintenance) Phukazhendi, and Deputy Director Prakash attended.
