Coimbatore United Round Table 186 (CURT 186) is set to host the Kutti Roadies cycling event on 1st December 2024, as part of Coimbatore Vizha 2024.
The event, designed for children aged 6 to 15, will take place from 6 am to 11 am at the Codissia Complex D Hall Parking, Avinashi Road.
The theme of the event, Pedal for a Cause: Freedom Through Education, aligns with Round Table India's long-term project of building one classroom per day across the country for underprivileged children.
Tr. Naveen, Chair of Coimbatore United Round Table 186, highlighted that the funds raised from the event will go towards constructing classrooms and toilet blocks in government schools in Kargil (Kashmir) and Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu).
The event will feature a fun and educational cycling experience, with a focus on road safety awareness. Participants will engage in a warm-up session, followed by a group ride and an informative session on traffic rules and safety.
The aim is to instill a sense of responsibility in young riders regarding road safety.
Children can register online at www.kuttiroadies.com for a fee of ₹799, which includes a helmet, T-shirt, medal, certificate, and breakfast.
Lucky draw prizes will also be awarded to participants. CURT 186, supported by the Indian Army, is dedicated to improving education infrastructure in underprivileged areas through initiatives like this event. Tr. Naveen and members of CURT 186, including Karan, Ashvin Kumar, Balaji, Gowtham, Nihal, Vignesh, and Arun, were present at the announcement of the
