KMDK meet seeks permission to ryots to tap toddy

KMDK state meet, led by its state president and Thiruchengodu MLA ER Eswaran, asked the government to allow ryots to tap toddy and sell it to double their income.
The resolutions of the meet held at Vijayamangalam are: Tasmac bottles should be recollected from the consumers by giving Rs 10. Cloth, to be used by the government staff, be produced round the year through powerlooms. 
All dams be desilted. Technical education be promoted. 
Land be acquired after consulting land owners and locals. Ethanol be produced from tapioca. Coconut oil be given in ration shops instead of palm oil. Procurement price of milk be hiked by Rs 5 per litre every year. Fake cases not be registered under PCR Act. 
The Assembly seats which were reserved for SCs for many years be changed as general category. Archaeological study in Kodumanal be speeded up and Kumarikalpalayam in Tirupur district also be studied. 
Pandiyaru-Punnampuzha, Anaimalai Nallaru, Thirumani Mutharu, Sennakal Vaniyaru irrigation schemes be introduced, new districts with HQ in Athur, Pollachi, Gobi and Thiruchengodu be created, industrial backward district status for Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri, drumstick based industry at Aravakurichi, check dams across Cauvery river, Mettur surplus water be diverted to dry lands of Namakkal district, international airport between Karur and Namakkal, CETPs to treat textile effluents in Erode, Karur and Tirupur, AIIMS hospital in Perundurai, sops to rig industry, welfare board for rig and lorry workers, 10 percent exclusive quota for Kongu Vellala Gounders  amendments in crop, ryots insurance schemes, metro train to link Coimbatore, Avinasi, Mettupalayam, Pollachi, Tirupur, Palladam, and expert committee for textile sector's improvement.
