KMCH conducts 28th Kovai Marathon

With the message ''Be Fast, Identify, React, Save” as a slogan, a marathon has been conducted by KMCH hospital, to raise awareness on stroke. KMCH has been conducting marathons in the name of “KMCH Kovai Marathon” for the last 27 years. This year  the event was held on Dec 1. Mayor K. Ranganayaki  flagged off the marathon in the presence of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman & Managing Director, KMCH. 


More than 4000 people including patients recovered from stroke, doctors, medical professionals, nurses and students participated in this event. The 18 km marathon started from the KMCH Kovilpalayam Hospital and ended at KMCH Main Center, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami said ''the marathon is held to spread awareness on prevention of various diseases.'' The winners were given cash prizes.
