Kalaignar Centenary celebration

Navsamaj, an Institute for Marginalized People, celebrated the centenary of former Chief Ministers Karunanidhi and Karpuri Tagore in Chennai. Professor Ko. Raghupathi, Member of Tamil Nadu SC/ST Commission, Lok Tantric Samajwadi Party President Raghu Tagore, Vice President Mukesh Chandra, National Navsamaj President Sukarsasingh,  General Secretary, Surya Narayana spoke. A Seminar on "Reservation and Racial discrimination' was held in which Perumal and Kumaraswamy participated. A resolution was passed that ``maruthuvars, potters and washermen should be united and given SC status'. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Abarvandam, Zonal Administrator of Maharashtra Shyamji Punarriwal, Delhi State President Rajendra Prasad, State Secretary PC Panwar, Ramasamy, Anbazhagan attended.
