The 47th Yercaud Summer Festival and Flower Show, which commenced on May 22, 2024, has been extended until May 30, 2024, due to popular demand from both the public and tourists.
Initially scheduled to end on May 26, 2024, the flower show at Anna Park, organized by the Department of Horticulture, will now continue for an additional four days. The event features a stunning display of floral arrangements designed to attract tourists.
Highlights include depictions of natural resource electricity generation, giant windmills, coral reefs, crabs, sculptures, octopuses, starfish, sea horses, and beloved cartoon characters such as Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Tom & Jerry, all creatively shown planting trees and watering plants.
A week into the flower show, some flowers had begun to wilt, but the horticulture department swiftly replaced the withered blooms.
The refreshed displays have renewed the vibrancy of the exhibition, much to the delight of visitors. Additionally, a fish-shaped floral arrangement at the Yercaud Government Botanical Garden has garnered significant attention and praise from tourists.
The extended flower show continues to draw crowds and the event will conclude on Thursday, May 30, 2024, according to a press statement from the District Administration.
