In the Legislative Assembly yesterday, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami alleged that when the Mineral Resources Amendment Act 2023 was brought in Parliament, DMK MPs did not raise any objection.
Chief Minister M.K.Stalin immediately retaliated by denying it. And he has stated in his website: “AIADMK betrayed the people of Madurai. Parliamentary documents are a witness to the betrayal! Pumpkins can never be covered in bandages. AIADMK’s treason was exposed with video evidence. Thambidurai said, "I supported the bill, not the tungsten mining auction". The bill was opposed by the DMK while AIADMK supported it. ADMK is denying state rights and giving power to the Union Government.
Isn't it treason to support? After doing all this, who is the drama here to deceive? Palaniswami's lies don’t even last eight seconds. I earnestly request him to at least speak the truth from now on,” said the Chief Minister M.K Stalin in his hot response. Thus, the accusation levelled against DMK has backfired on AIADMK itself. Double roles have come to light through parliamentary documents!
