Experts discuss new modalities for anaesthesia at KMCH coimbatore

The Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) successfully conducted an Anaesthesia Conference  focused on Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) and Target-Controlled Infusion (TCI), bringing together anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals from across the state to exchange insights on the latest advances in anesthesia care.
It was held on Oct 20 at KMCH Coimbatore.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman / Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of adopting advanced methods like TIVA/TCI to improve the quality of care: “Anesthesia has evolved beyond simple sedation; it’s about delivering precision, comfort, and faster recovery. This Conference serves as a platform to share knowledge and experiences that can help enhance the care, we provide to patients worldwide.”
Dr. Thavamani Devi Palaniswami lit the lamp and inaugurated the Conference. Executive Director Dr. Arun N Palaniswami, Medical director Dr.A.N.Murugan and Dean Dr. Ravikumar attended the occasion.
Dr. Subbiah Chelliah, organizing secretary, added: “This Conference reflects our commitment to advancing medical practices and providing a space for continuous learning. 
TIVA and TCI techniques are more environmentally friendly and are the future of anesthesia care, and through collaborative efforts, we aim to make these techniques more accessible and efficient.”
