Drug-eluting balloons (DEBs) represent a major advancement in the management of CAD. These innovative devices combine the mechanical benefits of balloon angioplasty with the targeted delivery of medication. When inflated, the DEB releases medication directly to the inner surface of the artery, which helps to prevent the artery from narrowing again—a common issue following traditional balloon treatments.
