Demand to abolish GST on medicines at Erode

Members of Tamil Nadu Medical and Sales Representatives Association led by District Secretary Suresh Babu demanded withdrawal of 12 percent GST on medicines and medical equipment.  
They campaigned for it in Erode on Friday. Other demands: increase the Central funding from 2 percent to 5 percent of GDP, pricing of drugs based on cost of production, bringing private health sector under government control fully to prevent exploitation of people, reforming public sector  pharmaceutical companies to provide medicines at lower prices
