Artist UMT Raja, hailing from the Kuniyamuthur area of Coimbatore, has taken a stand against the practice of 'cash for votes' prevalent during elections.
Using a unique approach, he created an awareness painting using sunlight and a magnifying glass.
The painting depicts a fishing hook adorned with money, with people drawn towards it, symbolising how political parties use money as bait to secure votes.
UMT Raja emphasised the importance of people rejecting such inducements, likening them to fish getting trapped by bait.
He urged individuals not to jeopardise their future by succumbing to monetary temptations during elections.
Through his artwork, Raja aims to raise awareness and discourage the practice of 'cash for votes' in electoral
processes.
