A two-and-a-half-year-old girl who fell into a 35-feet-deep borehole in Jodhpura village, Rajasthan, was successfully rescued after an 18-hour-long operation. The incident occurred when the toddler was playing near the borehole yesterday evening.
Upon receiving the information, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with the Fire Brigade and Police, swiftly arrived at the scene. The child was trapped at a depth of around 15 feet. Rescue teams began by digging a parallel hole with the help of JCB machinery to reach the child. Oxygen was supplied through a tube, and the child's condition was monitored using a camera throughout the night.
After hours of coordinated efforts, the child was safely recovered, bringing relief to the family and the community.
