Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has renewed its exclusive broadcast and digital rights with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for three seasons, valid from the 2024/2025 season to the end of the 2026-2027 seasons. The renewal will allow the broadcaster to showcase over 1600 football matches across its channels over three seasons, featuring teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and more.

The UEFA Champions League will follow a new format and competition system from 2024/25, with four additional clubs participating in a new league phase. This will give fans more opportunities to compete against the best clubs in Europe. Additionally, UEFA's premier club competitions will no longer have a break in January, allowing fans to enjoy non-stop European club football from August to May without any breaks in between.

Sony Sports Network will continue to telecast select UEFA Champions League matches in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, contributing to the viewership of the league's knockout matches. The network has been the home to UEFA Champions League since 2017, and this year's final will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer - Distribution & International Business and Head - Sports Business, of Sony Pictures Networks India, expressed pride in the extended partnership with UEFA for the next three seasons, reaffirming its dedication to delivering unrivalled access to the most prestigious club football tournaments to fans across the Indian subcontinent.
