Pope’s call for global unity and religious harmony at Indonesia's mosque

Pope Francis, on his 12-day Asia-Pacific tour, visited Indonesia's largest mosque, Istiqlal, in Jakarta, where he was welcomed by Imam Nasaruddin Umar. Addressing religious leaders from six officially recognized faiths, the Pope emphasized unity despite differences and called for collective responsibility to confront global crises like wars.
Pope Francis said, “The world is witnessing the conflict and riots going on in many countries based on religion. Religions are also influencing politics. We see attacks on religious minorities by majorities.
It is to avoid all this that all the religious leaders said, ``In all religions the way of seeking God is different but the goal is the same. They are constantly teaching that there is only one tribe and only one God. Especially unity in diversity is the mantra of India. This mantra should be performed throughout the world” he said.
Pope Francis is active and exemplary in the good work of creating awareness that all religions should live in harmony.
