Ortho Conference on Total Knee Replacement and AI – Aided Robotic Knee Surgeries in Coimbatore

A one-day conference on “Current Concepts in Total Knee Replacement and AI- Aided Robotic Knee Surgeries” is scheduled to be held on 22nd September, 2024 at Hotel Residency Towers in the city.  Addressing the media about the conference, Dr. C. Rex, Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon, Rex Ortho Hospital said that the conference is being organized by the Indian Orthopaedic Association and Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association. He pointed out that there has been an increase in the number of people suffering from knee-related problems in recent times. He said that with early detection and treatment of knee related issues it is possible to slow down the progression of knee degeneration and alleviate symptoms.  He stated that deliberations will be held during the conference on promoting doctor-patient interaction for early detection and prevention of knee-related issues and patient focused outcome measures.
Dr. Rex said that the conference will see around 300 renowned orthopaedic surgeons from around the country, along with researchers and physiatrist experts participate and share their knowledge on the latest advancements in Total Knee Replacement and AI-Aided robotic surgeries. 
Demonstrations of AI-aided robotic surgeries will be one of the highlights of the conference.  Dr. Rex mentioned that the conference will provide an excellent opportunity for young doctors to learn from the workshop and live surgeries during the conference. Similarly, practicing surgeons too can update their knowledge about the latest AI-aided robotic surgeries.  Dr. Rex pointed out that the conference will see deliberations among experts and seeks to educate and update healthcare professionals on the latest advancements in the field of knee replacement, painless joint replacements with AI-aided robotic surgeries. He further added that the experts will also discuss about faster rehabilitation programs to enable better patient outcomes. According to Dr. Rex the one day conference will also see industry participation. He mentioned that inputs gathered during the conference can help them with design of medical equipment.
An exhibition of innovative products and services in orthopaedic care will also be part of the conference.
