Organ donation: Organs of a tailor donated to govt hospital in Tiruppur

In a noble act of organ donation, the organs of a 40-year-old tailor named Sivakumar from Nallur, Tiruppur district, were donated to various hospitals. On the night of September 7, Sivakumar was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. He was rescued by bystanders and taken to Tiruppur Government Hospital, and later transferred to Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment. Despite the doctors' efforts, Sivakumar suffered brain death in the intensive care unit.
His family was informed of the situation, and upon their consent, Sivakumar's organs were donated. His heart was given to a private hospital in Coimbatore, his liver to a hospital in Salem, two kidneys to a hospital in Coimbatore, and his eyes to a government hospital in Coimbatore. The hospital administration paid their respects to Sivakumar’s body in recognition of his selfless donation.
