Tamil Nadu Electricity and Prohibition & Excise Minister Senthil Balaji laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth ₹3.6 crore in Karur. The projects span multiple sectors, aiming to enhance educational infrastructure and public facilities within the region.
During the ceremony, the minister inaugurated the construction of an additional building for the Periyakulatthupalayam Branch Library, under the Karur Municipal Corporation. He also launched the construction of new toilet facilities at the Corporation Primary School and announced renovation work and a new kitchen at Pasupathiswara Girls Higher Secondary School.
Further initiatives include the building of a compound wall, new toilets, and paver blocks at Jayaprakash School, along with the renovation and installation of new toilets at Pasupathipalayam Middle School. Additionally, the minister initiated the construction of a Revenue Officer’s office in Puliyur, facilitated by the Public Works Department.
The event saw the participation of District Collector Thangavel, MLAs Manickam and Ilango, Karur Mayor Kavitha Ganeshan, Municipal Commissioner Sudha, and several local representatives. DMK functionaries and government officials were also present. Attendees honored Minister Senthil Balaji with traditional shawls and floral garlands.
