Millions to benefit from PM’s equitable healthcare for the elderly

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that all senior citizens of the country above the age of 70 will be given free health insurance worth Rs.5 lakh. It has also been mentioned that people who are already under the People’s Health scheme will get an additional medical insurance facility of up to five lakh rupees per annum.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that it is the Union Government's desire that all Indians have access to high-quality healthcare facilities. He also mentioned in his social media post that six crore people will benefit from this new scheme.
BJP mentioned this scheme as an election manifesto during the last Lok Sabha elections. Now the central BJP government has fulfilled that election promise. The public, by and large, have been warmly welcomed.
