Nasscom Foundation and DXC Technology have collaborated to create a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The initiative focuses on enhancing digital literacy in aspirational districts and closing the skill gap targeting India's youth in tier 2 and 3 cities. The collaboration has successfully empowered over 4,00,000 marginalized individuals with technology in 2023, accelerating digital adoption, narrowing the digital divide, and enhancing accessibility.
Nachiket Sukhtankar, Managing Director of India at DXC Technology, emphasized the importance of empowering society's future by providing essential education and skills in the digital era. The program has trained over 28,000 youths across India, nearly half of whom are from Tamil Nadu. The initiative has also created employment opportunities for over 1,000 young individuals, a significant step forward in India's growing digital economy.
The program has trained over 25,000 marginalized youth across India, including over 1,400 beneficiaries in Tamil Nadu. It has also facilitated employment opportunities for over 800 job aspirants in Tamil Nadu, improving the livelihoods of marginalized youth. The program has also trained over 3.8 lakh beneficiaries in digital literacy across India, including 37,000 in the aspiration districts of Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar.
The collaboration aims to empower marginalized youth with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in the digital age and contribute meaningfully to society.
