Guinness World Record Award for the fifth time

It was a proud moment for Mother India’s Crochet Queens (MICQ) when it bagged the prestigious Guinness World Record Award for the fifth time (on Feb 4) at a gala function in SRM University in Kattankulathur in Chennai.This was made possible with the support of Indian Skills Development Council (a government registered organisation) which created a platform for recognition of human craft skills involving the participation of multitalented female folks across various continents.

The Theme of this Event is Creating Awareness for Breast Cancer in the World. Achieving a Guinness World Record a dream for so many thirsty minds, Mother India's Crochet Queens has proved undoubtedly that it is so simple with a Strong Force of likeminded people. 

The Guinness Record is backed by the group’s Chief Thought Mentor Dr. J.P. Singh Sahni. He says each year about 2.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer, making it the most common type of cancer in the world affecting all adults.In 95% of the countries, breast cancer is the first or second leading causes of female cancer related death. It is reported that breast cancer survival rate is up to 50% only, in case of low and middle income countries.
