Expo on Thanjavur paintings begins at the Govt Museum at Erode

The Government Museum functioning in Erode's VOC Park complex hosts exhibitions on different topics every month.

Accordingly, this month, an exhibition on the 1,000-year-old Thanjavur paintings titled 'Tharani Potrum Thanjavur Paintings' was held as a special exhibition.

The exhibition also showcases a rare collection of Thanjavur paintings and photographs of the Chola period paintings painted in the Thanjavur Prahadeeswarar Temple.

This exhibition, which will be held throughout the month of May, can be viewed from 9.30 am to 5 pm. Friday and second Saturday are holidays.
