DMK launched its LS poll campaign for Erode LS seat by holding a public meeting on the title of 'Urimai Meetka Stalinin Kural' at Anaikkalpalayam Erode on Friday.
In his speech, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said that the CM's 26 minute speech in the Assembly on Thursday indicated our achievements and how far TN was betrayed by the BJP rule. So, whenever the states face problems, DMK is in the forefront in protecting the rights of states. The agenda of 2024 LS poll is whether the next poll would be held or not. When farmers were staging stir in Delhi, the PM was opening temple in UAE. None interested to hold talks with them.
Housing minister S Muthusamy: people have enough confidence on us. Our role is to explain the achievements and schemes of our rule like Kaalai Unavu, Mahalir Urimai Thogai thittam etc. No state implemented these kind of schemes in the country.
Information Minister MP Saminathan: Unlike the AIADMK rule, the CM carefully handled the corona situation for 1 year. After that many schemes were enforced. But, the BJP rule didn't do anything for people. It didn't wipe out black money and deposit Rs 15 lakh in each people's account. Manipur was still burning. Farmers struggles continued in Delhi. But, the PM was keen to tour abroad. Here, the CM waived SHGs, farmers and jewel loans and introduced Makkaludan Mudalvar, Pudumai Pengal schemes etc.
Adi Dravida Welfare Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj: Modi rule left people on roads by its demonotisation exercise. Though it got more income from us, it didn't give anything as flood and cyclone relief to TN. Though 3 ministers of TN were in the Modi cabinet, they didn't face election. So, they didn't realise people's problems.
