Cooking contest draws large participants at Yercaud Summer Fest

On the second day of the 47th Yercaud Summer Festival and Flower Fair the district administration organized a stoveless cooking competition, attracting numerous tourists from Chennai, Bangalore, and other regions.
The event organised by the Integrated Child Development Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights drew enthusiastic participants with winners receiving prizes and certificates of appreciation, while all participants were awarded certificates.
The festival schedule for today includes a trekking event from Kondapanayakkanpatti, Guntur to Yercaud at 6:30 AM and a cycling competition starting from Eco Park at 10:00 AM. Additionally, there will be a men's football match, a medicine ball throw for women, a 50-meter race, shot put, standing jump, and a tug of war competition from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cultural events, including various music performances, a Bharatanatyam program, and village-themed shows, will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The Yercaud Summer Festival continues to be a major attraction, drawing large crowds and offering diverse activities that showcase the region's vibrant culture and natural beauty said officials.
