CM unveils Cauvery water scheme in Sivagangai

Chief Minister MK Stalin, on a two-day visit to Sivagangai district, laid the foundation for several new projects and inaugurated completed ones. 
Notably, the Chief Minister announced the Cauvery Joint Water Supply Project worth Rs. 616 crore, which will benefit residents of Sivagangai, Tirupattur, Kalaiyarkovil, and nearby areas.
During his visit, CM Stalin laid the foundation stone for a statue of the Marudhu brothers near the Veeramangai Velunachiyar memorial at Kalaiyar Kovil, Sivagangai, with an allocation of Rs. 1 crore. He also unveiled the statue of freedom fighter Vaalukkuveli Ambalam at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh and inaugurated a Mani Mandapam at Nagarpatti.
At the Mannar Duraisingam Government College campus, CM Stalin distributed welfare assistance to 40,000 beneficiaries. 
He also announced the construction of a new additional building for the Sivagangai Collectorate at an estimated cost of Rs. 89 crore and highlighted that the integrated court in Sivagangai was originally built during the DMK regime.
Additionally, he inaugurated a new municipal building and a women's college in Sivagangai. He further assured that a bypass road would be constructed in Tirupattur to improve connectivity.
