A public grievance meeting was held at the District Collectorate under the leadership of Collector Rajagopal Sunkara on Monday.
In this meeting, Tamilselvi from Kolappalur area, Gobi, Erode district, complained to the collector ''A gang of 5 people has visited various villages in Erode district, saying that they have obtained permission from the District Collectorate to issue Ayushman Bharat Life Insurance Card of the central government.
They engaged in fraud by getting a huge amount to give the card. In connection with this, people secured 5 people and handed them over to Siruvalur police. They also admitted to embezzling money. Meanwhile, Ayushman Bharat Insurance Company in-charge of Erode District Collectorate Vijayakumar told police that he did not give permission to anyone to issue insurance card and he did not know the 5 persons who were caught by the people.
He clarified that only the government will issue the insurance card. However, the police released those nabs and sent us to collect complaints from at least 150 affected people. Even though some people including me have lodged a complaint, no action has been taken to catch the culprits. It has been informed that the district administration should conduct an investigation and take action in this regard.
Details of petition filed by victims of investment in PACL Financial Company:5.85 crore investors have invested Rs. 49,100 crore in PACL, which is headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. 1 crore people have invested up to Rs.10,000 crore in Tamil Nadu. The company has acquired 3.85 lakh acres of land in 23 states.
The company was paralyzed due to various reasons and did not pay the maturity amount to the investors. The assets of the company should be identified and sold and the appropriate amount should be paid to the investors within 6 months.
It has been 7 years since the court ordered that the money has not been received yet. Investors have been severely affected due to the ongoing negotiations and investigations. It has been informed that steps should be taken to get proper money to the investors.
Demand to set up hospitals at toll gates: Petition submitted by all district drivers and unorganized workers union administrators of Tamil Nadu said: The new MV Act brought by the central government should be withdrawn. Occupational Safety and Health Act for drivers should be passed and published in the gazette. Postal driving license should be issued to drivers traveling abroad.
Motorists have to provide separate insurance of Rs 3 lakh for natural death and Rs 5 lakh for accidental death. Imprisonment should be given to those who attack drivers on duty. A case should be registered only after investigating the nature of the accident. Hospital, toilet facility and safe parking area should be set up within 50 to 70 km in the NH and first aid facility at the toll gates as well.
342 petitions: In the grievance meeting, 342 petitions were received from the public regarding various demands. The Collector handed over these petitions to the relevant department officials and ordered to take immediate action.
Under the housing scheme, he issued orders to get Rs.2 lakh each to 5 beneficiaries.
