Brain dead 47 year old farmer gives life to 5 persons

A farmer Mr.P.Ingaran  Age 47,    of Polavapalayam Village, Nambiyur, Erode District,  fell unconscious on 31st of August 2024 due to high blood pressure and brain hemorrhage.   Immediately he was taken to nearby private hospital for first aid treatment, and then to KMCH Avanashi Road Coimbatore, for specialized treatment. During the treatment he didn't respond much and declared brain dead on 07.09.24.  The family stood clueless and his father Mr.P.K.Palanisamy & mother Mrs.P.Rajeswari
came forward to donate Mr.P.Ingaran' s organs. 
Multi Organ Transplant Surgeons and team harvested kidneys, eyes and skin from the body of the deceased in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Transplant Authority, Govt. of Tamil Nadu.  The harvested organs i.e. kidneys were transplanted at KMCH, eyes and skin was sent to a private hospital at Coimbatore, The family members felt proud that his organs gave new lease of lives to 5 needy people. 
In honouring their gesture, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH thanked the family for their bold and timely decision on organ donation. He added that this act of generosity will bring in more awareness towards this nobel cause.
