Avinashilingam Memorial Day observed at Coimbatore

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore observed the 33rd Memorial day of the Founder of the Institution. 
Dr. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, in her welcome said that not a moment would pass without thinking about Ayya. Such was the service that he had rendered.
In the Presidential Address Dr. TSK Meenakshisundaram, Chancellor of the institute cited about Ayya’s noble life; the exemplary life that he lived and advised all to follow the path of Ayya who followed the ideals of Gandhi.
The Chief Guest Dr. P. Kolandaivel, former Vice Chancellor, Periyar University, Salem, gave a glimpse of Ayya’s life alongside Gandhi and other stalwarts. 
Dr. Kolandaivel traced the journey and growth of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and its sister concern Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women.
Dr. H. Indu, Registrar (i/c) proposed the Vote of Thanks.
